Current Stitching WIP

I'm not entirely sure when I started this one to be honest, but I think it was late August 2021. So it's been a year and I'm not even halfway done!
I tend to stitch in bursts, a few weeks or a month or two of frenetic stitching adn then nothing for weeks or moths, rinse and repeat. So a year or two per project isn't very unusual for me. Especially when I make the mistake of starting with the most common colour in the project adn the most common colour is white.
I've stitched black-on-black (as in, black thread onto black fabric) and white-on-white and I honestly think the white is worse. It really does blend together and you can't quite tell exactly where you've stitched already, whereas black-on-black, the shades tend to differ slightly and if you hold the fabric over a lighter surface, it's quite easy to pick out the holes in the fabric.
Of course, by now I'm onto different colours and no longer enduring the grinding agony of the dreaded white-on-white but it made for a slow start and then I got distracted by FFXIV again so I'm sorry, Pink Wolvie, you'll be left incomplete for a while yet....
Pink Wolvie, so named, obviously, for the bright pink slashes of colour in the image. They've come up quite nicely in thread, if you ask me. I hope they stay popping when I add the nearby colours in too.
