Moving (Virtual) House

Sometimes, I love being on a quieter EU server.

By which I mean, when I can get a nice house/apartment.

Same as a lot of players, I put a bid in on a medium Mists plot when the new wards went live for bidding. I picked a random FC-available ward that had no bids on Plot 60 (the dream home! and everyone bids on Plot 30 instead) and bid.

I thought about, y'know, waiting until the last minute to find a plot with as few bids on as possible or whatever, and then decided that fuck it, I'll just bid and hope to hell no-one else wants that particular medium house in that particular ward.

Suffice to say, the last few hours of the entry period were nerve wracking: I was the only bid so far but the last-minute-bidders were out in force!

Well, some of the medium plots got up to 7-10 bids but not mine. No, <IDLE> now has a medium house as it's free company estate!

Life goal - achieved.

Dream house - attained.

So of course I immediately hopped onto Teamcraft and threw together a list of furnishings I needed to craft and hit up the market board and housing vendors too.

The garden is mostly a re-jigging of the garden used at the previous small plot (the one opposite this, actually) with a few additions (that faerie fountain is new, and I love it - it lights up at night!) and some old items dragged out of storage now that there's a whole 30 item decoration limit!

For when an outdoor garden isn't enough and you need MOAR HOUSEPLANTS
Complete with faerie table to match the actual garden's faerie fountain!

The other half of the upstairs might become a little crafter's corner - with some of the workbench items for aesthetics (since I won't get any benefit for crafting until the cap goes up to level 100 and I'm our company's only crafter) and bits like that. Maybe some armour displays or something too? I'm not sure yet.

Downstairs. Downstairs is currently a rave space with stained glass walls and windows and the giant twirly purple light effects from the diamond chandelier. This is... Not so much a work in progress as a work not yet conceived. I have no clue what I'll do with it yet but one day maybe inspiration will strike? One day.

In the meantime, I'm busy trying to finally get the company submersibles up and running properly so if you see anyone mining 800+ units of mythrite sand.... Mind your own business.
