Paper. Boxes.

To cut a rather long story short, I'm getting into (very casual) Magic: The Gathering.
This means, I now have cards, sat around, in little half-deck boxes, just stashed away wherever. How disorganised.
So, I've been making a custom box to hold them all!
It's made using 3mm thick MDF sheets trimmed down to size with a Dremel & a mini saw, plus some bookcloth for the lid/box hinge, and then of course it needs a cover so I whipped Ye Olde Photoshop (specifically CS6) out and shoved the mana symbols into a pattern, got it printed by Contrado as wrapping paper and voila!
My next steps are to cover the main piece of the lid, then the sides of the lid. I'll glue those pieces together and then I'll cover the box base too and I shall I have a lovely, solid and perfectly sized box for all my cards!
The main part of the lid is lying on my workbench next to the scrap MDF pile, and the main part of the box base is propped up at the back. The lid will have two little side pieces but they need to be covered before they're attached so I can make sure the pattern lines up vaguely.
I'll probably post pics once it's done but I've been super overloaded with work etc. recently so it'll take a while!
