Silver Lining to the Stitcher's Problem
Go read my post on that little problem before this, if you're that bothered. Or otherwise, TLDR: I'll eventually watch literally anything if it gets me a few hours of crafting time. Can't stitch without something on the tv, see.
Case in point, I had watched all of Netflix's Little Witch Academia and was in the mood for more of the same. This devolved into a search for similar anime, which went the same way as Little Witch Adademia, and then it was just a search for anime with some of the right tropes.
Which lead to a certain anime and a certain character who was my instant favourite despite having all the screentime and importance for 99% of the anime as a random chair.
The happy coincidence that was me discovering my second-favourite-ever chaaracter in a faceless, generic anime purely because I had already watched everything that could be considered 'good', was very much the silver lining to that particular manifestation of my 'stitcher's problem'.
This still is a bit of a confession though. To two things:
- That I watched the entireity of this bland academy-esque anime (twice! I watched it twice!).
- That I pinched my OC, who has since appeared in every game I've played that features a character creator, from this anime.
There. Now you know where I stole him from.
If you ask me, I did him a favour. Even the light novels the anime is (broadly) based off never gave him much backstory but I have so. much. backstory. All the details, all the characterisation, all the personality. Mine now, my OC and this is the only palce you'll ever see me say any different! ;p
