The Box Consumes All

It is done. The box has been completed and pressed into service, my burgeoning hoard of Jumpstart 2022 (plus four Phyrexia AWBO and soon to be eight Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty) half-decks now has a dedicated home.
(Please excuse my chaotic workbench!)
It's very much not perfect, there's a fair few things I'd do a little differently or that just didn't turn out 100% perfect for me - probably something to do with this being my first time making a box like this.
Overall though, I'm rather pleased with it! It looks good but doesn't stand out too much on the shelf and has plenty of room to hold my current decks and the ones I still need to proxy.
The lid is a little snug over the sides, but to a nice degree. It stays down when you put it down and is satisfyingly tactile to lift/lower. The hinge for it is reinforced under the covering paper with bookcloth so it should have more than enough structure to it to keep working for a good while. I fully expect the cover paper to start peeling or wearing off before that hinge goes!
I'd also never use MDF board again. Even at 3mm it took my Dremel and a cutting disc to cut it, whereas bookboard cuts nicely with just a craft knife. So much less hassle and a normal self-healing cutting mat will suffice, rather than needing a proper cutting block/board underneath.
Now to wait until I can proxy those missing half-decks and fill The Box with a Jumpstart Cube!
